A Practice in Developing Students’ Learning Interest in Biology Teaching of Junior High School

In the new educational environment, how to develop biology teaching in junior high school is a question needed to be discussed. Aiming at quality education and focusing on the infusion education regardless of the students’ interests and age to characteristics, this paper attempts to analyze from the basis of teaching and learning --the previous interests, absorbs the study of learning interests and combines the teaching practice, we concentrate on discussing developing the learning interests from teachers and students’aspect to promote the quality of biology education of the current junior high schools.In this paper, first we explain the theoretical basis and practical significance of the study, and we also summarize the study of learning interests. Then, do some investigation and analysis in the current biology learning interests, give the strategies and methods from teaching practice, such as establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students, optimize the biology classroom teaching, relate teaching content to life reality, pay attention to the laboratory teaching and so on to cultivate students’ interest in biology. Finally, we can know that putting interests into biology teaching can improve students’ academic performance, promote teachers’ quality, and enhance the research of biological interests.
