Evaluation index system of ecological civilization is a result of ecological civilization construction needs, develop a quantitative evaluation framework. Its theoretical exploration, policy guidance, regional differences, cross-disciplinary research has great significance. Evaluation index system of ecological civilization is not only benefit from a single indicator on the level of the evaluation, but includes ecological, economic and social benefits, including system-level evaluation index system. Therefore, has a systematic and comprehensive.This paper reviewed recent studies on the theoretical sort, that evaluation index system of ecological civilization has its own advantages and characteristics.Then, in the ecological theory, systems theory, Marx’s ecological thought, modern ecological theory of scientific theory and the strong support of human geography, the building is suitable for the Chinese situation evaluation index system of ecological civilization construction, using factor analysis conducted on the provinces index evaluation and analysis of evaluation results are given.Meanwhile, the data obtained on the basis of indicators of mathematical statistics analysis, subsystems sort table, and the evaluation results were analyzed. Then, GIS-based spatial autocorrelation analysis and spatial econometric analysis of the spatial correlation of data validation and visualization, ecological civilization come on production, consumption and ecological civilization and the formation mechanism of ecological civilization showed more significant spatial autocorrelation relations and regional differences.Finally, this paper summary text, and to the need for further problems.
