Objective: The primary cultured human pterygium fibroblasts ( HPFS ) , observe the green tea extract EGCG HPFS proliferation and MMP - 9 and VEGF expression , the relationship that exists between the analysis of EGCG and MMP-9 and VEGF for EGCG provide a theoretical basis to explore pterygium new treatments for pterygium treatment . : 1 , the use of tissue culture method pterygium fibroblasts , respectively, with different concentrations of EGCG ( 10-80ug/ml ) processing 48h , and set the negative control group , cell morphology was observed under an inverted microscope parallel HE staining . MTT colorimetric determination of EGCG on human pterygium into fibroblast proliferation . Western blotting method of EGCG on MMP - 9 and VEGF expression . Results : EGCG role of the HPFS cells , cell morphology exhibits a distinct change off the wall cells , nuclear condensation , cell body shrinkage , round , or even disintegration , with the increase of drug concentration , the more obvious changes , such morphological changes were dose-dependent manner . When the EGCG concentration 80ug/m1 , the cell morphology apparent shrinkage, rarely seen in normal cells . EGCG can inhibit the proliferation of HPFS , this inhibition was dose-dependent . When the EGCG concentration 80ug/ml and role 72h , cell proliferation inhibition rate can be as high as 89.6% . 3 with EGCG of 20ug/ml and 40ug/ml are after 48h , MMP-9 and VEGF protein expression were significantly reduced. Conclusion: 1 , different concentrations of EGCG for HPFS cells at different times after the HPFS cell proliferation ability with the role of concentration and the extension of time and decline was a significant dose and time dependent . EGCG role of the HPFS cells 48h after cell MMP - 9 , VEGF protein expression decreased with the increase of the concentration of the role was a significant concentration-dependent manner .
