The Design and Implementation of an Improved Solution in the Live TV Program Editing & Broadcast Network System

With the rapid development of the information technologies, digital tools and internet have been used in the Television program production. It is required television to upgrade the level and scale of collection, production, exchange, management and broadcast system, speed up the internal network and digital, instead of the past scattered, closed, island style production and broadcasting method, to share the information and data, comprehensively improve production and broadcasting capabilities, give full scope to content and improve core competitiveness of television.With the producing, broadcasting and storage integration network system of the TV Station, this thesis analyses the features of the broadcast television technology in large capacity, high speed, high-bandwidth, and introduces the structural design and key technologies to lead to the calculation of the network storage capacity, the bandwidth and then analyse the network system architecture and topology. To complete the revision of a column in JNTV, this thesis mainly discusses the revision scheme, and analyses the method of improving IP-SAN characteristic by the hardware initiator.In TV Station Services Network System, storage system decides not only the system size, but also the amount of the program productions. It has to own mass storage and wide bandwidth to satisfy the enormous information of TV program. We accomplished the revision to function normally, achieve a live telecast with unified servicing and management.This article analyses the design of the storage system, the organization structure in system and the distribution of operation system in detail. With the theoretical analysis and the practical testing, we analyse this system performance after changing on the part of the storage module, storage capacity, memory bandwidth, system structure, Ethernet switch technology and so on. And making the change in the matter of application system, we put forward a plan of improving the whole system. After the change, based on completing the daily work, the network system actualizes the live telecasting requirement, and makes the running conditions of the system better.The TV station editing&broadcast network system refered in this article structured a relatively perfect iSCSI-SAN based on the mature Ethernet technology. Its fundamental structure is composed of the initiator (located on the client and the server) and the target (iSCSI disk array). In the end, based on the present system structure, it introduces the method of improving iSCSI performance by replacing the initiator software by iSCSI HBA in terms of theory.
