Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), the Austrian composer, was one of most important composers from Viennese Classical School. Haydn’s two cello concertos, as in the classical period of the classic works in the cello solo repertoire takes an very important role.In this paper, I have analyzed the creative background, musical structure, performance style of Haydn’s two cello concertos based on existing study, and have made a comparison to several influential interpretations of the two cello concertos from famous cellists as well.This article consists of the introduction, three chapters and conclusion structure. The introduction outlines the changes in characteristics of Haydn’s music style. The section I of first chapter outlines the social environment impact on the character of Haydn’s music and the creative field. In the sectionⅡ, the background for creation of two cello concertos was introduced. The second chapter is divided into two sections, which consist of detailed analysis of musical form, harmonic structure for "C major Cello Concerto" and "D major Cello Concerto". The third chapter is divided into three sections,ⅠandⅡwhich consist of description of my own practical experience in the musical and technique aspect with the concertos. The sectionⅢis the comparison of several different interpretations of the concertos. Final is the conclusion of the two cello concertos with regard musical and artistic value of the total state.
