Research on the Collaborative Relationship between Large Retailers and Suppliers Based on Supply Chain

Under the background of economic globalization, the foreign retail are sweeping foray into Chinese market. The fast speed of its expansion, big strength of m&a, efficiency high of operation ,all the status makes China’s retail enterprise facing huge pressure and challenges. In front of the pressure and challenges, China’s retail enterprise should found opportunity in long-term vision. Throughout the success of large retail enterprise, their co- operation pattern is worth discussing.Facing the fierce competition of the globalization, more and more companies are aware of the importance of the supply chain management. In the supply chain of supplier-retailers-consumer, coordinate the relationship of retailer-supplier, response to market changes fastly, meet the needs of customers and retailers become request inevitably.In reality, retail enterprise has a certain scale, especially retail chain market concentration is higher. In channel, they occupy the bigger issue, leading to nervous relationship and even conflicts between them. And harm the interests of both parties.Therefore, exploring and constructing the cooperation pattern between retailers and suppliers bears the regulate of market order and the circulation system of sound.Adopting the theory of combining with case study, using the influence of three factors as trading costs which put forward by Williamson, this article points out the real situation analysis framework of existing suppliers to retailers and three cooperation mode.First, goods is divided into two major categories of fast moving consumer goods and durable consumer goods.And analyze the differences between two types of goods in the turnover rate, Value, capital and occupiers of six areas. On this basis, establish the evaluation index of suppliers. Suppliers are divided into commercial-type, commercial focused-type, priority-type and strategic partner-type.From three factors of transaction cost theory, transaction frequency, uncertainty, asset specificity, patterns of retailers and suppliers are divided into Contract Dimension system type, type of property to maintain, manage to maintain type .Adopt three cases of Sears department stores, Wal-Mart , Marsh Group to discuss relative theories.
