A Study on the Approaches to Logistics Network Design for Discrete Manufacturing Enterprises

Optimal logistics networks are an important conception for toady’s China logistics and enterprise’s global development and electronic business technique’s applications. Based on an extensive research of literature at home and abroad and current situation of logistics practice in China, the dissertation identifies the purposes, main contents and research methods.The dissertation mainly researches logistics networks in Discrete manufacturing enterprises. The main contents and achievements of it include the following:1. From system analysis perspective, the dissertation presents design procedure for logistics networks in discrete manufacturing enterprises.2. Based on case study, the dissertation analyses and compares multi-stage nod of storage.3. The dissertation studies cost of logistics on economy of scale, and puts forward expression of storage cost and transport cost. 4. The dissertation presents the basic structure of logistics networks and puts forward the basic decision-making problem, and provides the viewpoint of solving problem on multi-stage logistics networks design by using dynamic programming.5. The dissertation puts forward the method used transportation problem to solving problem on small-scale basic logistics networks design. The method supplies a gap which fore- pursuers could not settle the problem on cost of the nod’s establishing and they ignored the problem on the logistics cost of economy of scale.6. The dissertation analyses the methods on large-scale logistics networks design, and then puts forward the method of combinatorial GA which improve the arithmetic based on HEM and GA, and use it to figures out the problem on the large-scale logistics networks design.At last, the dissertation applies the theory and method to practice of logistics networks design in G enterprise. The results testify the validity of the methods in this dissertation.
