There are many creative and meaningful phenomena of Standard and Law (Ge Fa)and theories of poetics in the works of Poetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty. In thisthesis, I choose Nature and Affection(Xing Qing), Art of Composition(Pian Fa),Differentiation of Style(Bian Ti), Integral Theory of Standard and Law(ZhengtixingGefa Lilun), and Review of Poetic History(Shigeshi Shuping) as special topics.Thereafter are the main contents of every chapters.Chapter 1 is about the conception of Nature and Affection(Xing Qing) in PoeticLaw(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty. Nature and Affection(Xing Qing) and Rightness ofNature and Affection(Xing Qing Zhi Zheng) is discussed in Poetic Law(Shi Fa) ofYuan dynasty, but what is emphasized repeatedly is that Nature and Affection(XingQing) is the genuine source of poetry, obviously aiming for criticizing the malpracticeof poetic writing of early Yuan that deviated Nature and Affection(Xing Qing). InPoetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty, the discussion of Nature and Affection(XingQing) emphasized particularly on differentiating and analyzing of Affection(Qing)and Nature(Xing), pointing out that Nature(Xing) is noumenon and Affection(Qing) isthe use of Nature(Xing), and the two concepts are not of the same level. I differentiateand analyze Affection(Qing) and Nature(Xing) for the purpose of the statement thatpoetry should express human nature and be expressed in an "unartificial" way. As faras cultivation of poetic composition is concerned, it is necessary to cultivateunartifieial, insipid and pure-hearted Nature and Affection(Xing Qing) of humanbeings in one hand, and to cultivate artistic attainment and skills required for poeticcomposition.Chapter 2 is about Art of Composition(Pian Fa), which is the subject mainlydiscussed in the works of Poetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty. The Art ofComposition(Pian Fa), Void and Substantial(Xu Shi), is mainly about the discussionon how to arrange Vision(Jing) and Affection(Qing) in Poetry of Versification(Jintishi, or Gelu shi), which often implies some criticism on contemporary compostion.The Art of Composition(Pian Fa), starting, continuing, transiting, and closing (QiCheng Zhuan He), is the most famous and influent Art of Composition(Pian Fa),which discloses the most fundamental rule of Standard and Law (Ge Fa). Inadditional, the Art of Composition(Pian Fa) in Mu Tian Jin Yu is also instructive forcompositon. Chapter 3 is about Differentiation of Style(Bian Ti) in Poetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuandynasty, mainly include one of Style and Pattern(Ti Shi), which is often combinedwith Style, Art of Composition(Pian Fa), and Description, analogy, inspiration(Fu, Bi,Xing), and the other of Style and makeup(Ti Zhi) of important poets, whichemphasizes analyzing certain poet’s style and characteristic of composition that bredup in the poetic vogue of the age.Chapter 4 is about Integral Theory of Standard and Law(Zhengtixing Gefa Lilun),which studies the theory of Standard and Law integrally and present diversely, withdistinct individuality and theoretical flexibility. Integral Theory of Standard andLaw(Zhengtixing Gefa Lilun) tries to systematize dispersive Standard and Law(Ge Fa),which is a new phenomenon in Poetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty.Chapter 5 is about Review of Poetic History(Shigeshi Shuping). The retrospect andreview of the history of poetry in the works of Poetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty,aims for better understanding and mastering acquirement of the principle of poeticcomposition, and looking for and establishing the archaic apotheosis for the poetry ofYuan dynasty. The f’mal choice is to imitate the poetry of Han, Wei, and High Tang,particularly poems of Li Bai and Du Fu. In the works of Poetic Law(Shi Fa) of Yuandynasty, poetry of High Tang is canonized best of all, and poetry of Sung dynasty istreated understandingly, while contemporary poetry is valued with pride for itsdistinct characteristics. The criterion of the history of poetry in the works of PoeticLaw(Shi Fa) of Yuan dynasty is that the rise and fall of poetry is relative nearly withthe times, expressing Nature and Affection(Xing Qing) is best for poetry, and poetryof recent ages is outstanding.
