This paper gives a review on the modern music education theory of Children Centered Education. While focusing on the important effects the Children Centered Education has on the overall development of kids, this music education theory ignores the relationship of children, music and education from Origin. And this is going to be discussed in the paper on both theoretic and practical sides. The first chapter of the paper gives a pectination on the history of music education for children. The author’s view point is put forward here as the music education should focus not only on the overall development of children but also on the possibility of music development and the ultimate goal of education. Then the author expatiate the origin and meaning of Origin in a philosophical view. Clarify the necessity of music education for children to return to the Origin in the theories level. Chapter 2 starts with an explanation of the original music( Elementar Musik) theory of Karl Orff. And then gives an analysis of the spontaneous music activities of children, as a practical proof that music education of children should go back to the Origin of music. In the process of spontaneous music activities, children connect the music concept and music activities from outside world with their music instincts, and they then transform the instinct reflects of music stimulus to purposive acceptance and usage. This kind of activity is the impetus to drive the art of music to continuously develop. Chapter 3 takes a basic view point as the goal of education is life, and then discuss on that music education of children should go back to the Origin of education for the reasons of the practical connection and historical connection of music, education and life. Based on the discussion of previous chapters and also years of observation, understanding and teaching experience, the author makes her point of view and some practical proposals as below:●Children need plenty of informal contacts with music before their kindergarten age.●In the education activities teachers should develop the inner musical audition of children and let them feel the music through accepting and creating music.●Home music activities should be compensated with school music activities.
