Study on improving the effectiveness of the situational teaching of mathematics in Higher Vocational College

With the development of the new curriculum reformation, more and more teachers have accepted it in their daily teaching. What is the status of math situation teaching in higher vocational school? How to implement effective math situation teaching from students and professional characteristics of the actual departure? These issues need us to intensive study and research from the theory and practice.First, the research discusses the theory of situation teaching with the literature study. Second, in order to find out the present situation of implementing situation teaching in math class, the author entered two higher vocational schools and randomly listened to some math classes. While listening, the author focused on the creation of situation, the participation of students and the efficiency of teaching. And after that, the author will mainly analyze four typical cases and its efficiency. By the analysis of these cases, the author will point out the success and failure of the present adoption of situation teaching. After analyzing these cases, the author will give out characteristics, principles and strategies on how to improve the efficiency of situation teaching. At last, the author will also put these principles and strategies into practice. Results have proved that these strategies will improve students’participation and the results of math teaching.Through this study, the author will summarize this study and give some practical suggestions to teachers.
