In the background of the rapid development of computer technology and network technology , the user of the data storage requirements , there has been explosive growth , traditional data storage has been unable to provide high-capacity data transmission and high-quality data management . With the tremendous growth of the stored data , and the emergence of the concept of the storage area network . SAN storage area network , the data storage device is connected together to form a network independent of the host system , the data access speed , and high reliability data storage structure and good scalability , simple data network management , etc. , has been widely used large-scale data centers . FC (Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel ) is a high-speed network technology standard , mainly used in the SAN . FC can provide efficient and reliable data transmission services . The FC equipment investment and maintenance costs , the high cost of the network . FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet ) FC mapped to Ethernet, the widely used Ethernet Internet hosts FC SAN network and LAN network integration . FCoE forwarding module's function is to maintain forwarding , forwarding , route generation guide the FC packet forwarding , to achieve the FC packet Software forwarding process on the software forwarding . Distributed in the project , this project is to achieve consistent interface board in the main control board ( including the master and slave cards ) forwarding , cross- board display forwarding , forwarding module HA (High Availability, High Reliability ) characteristics of the cross- board messages sent and distributed forwarding module debugging synchronization . FCoE Exchange module features various types of packets in the management of the FC protocol , different message to the appropriate protocol . In a distributed project , the subject of Exchange module to receive and send packets distributed support , the Exchange module debugging of distributed synchronization and HA features .
