In this time of the changing in the living and studying ways, it is strong for education to train the spirit of studying, while the new study-method and the educational platform based web will bring very large space for improving self-study. It was made a exposition of the self-study for students to use the teaching web platform from two sides, theory and practice.In theory: to introduce the difference from traditional education to modern web education and to analyse how to show the importance and the aim for the web teaching in the self-study; further to discuss the computer teaching method of self-study. In practice: to compare and analyse WebQuest and ThinkQuest, it was thought they are two teaching methods based web and driving task in recently, to practice in the teaching web. It will be a new practice for students.In the web designing, to set up the AUTO CAD system on line based the self-study teaching web platform and using the technology Asp and Data. The mainly design is "student section" and "teacher section". To solve some problems:1 A teacher can send out his teaching plan to help students learn the computer knowledge, while the system to give the checking .2 Announcement function can issue some new points and methods in the studying .3 Homework function can solve some problems in learning to students.4 Answering function can ask and answer questions between teacher and student.5 Else function can help the designing of the teaching web platform.
