Software testing is the software development process is an important stage, with the rapid development of modern technology , the various sectors of society are increasingly applied to software products , making the quality of software products is increasingly concerned . Regression testing in the software development process to ensure software quality and widely used as a validation test method . Regression testing process is very important and cost prohibitive. Therefore, how to efficiently manage and maintain the test case library and implement effective testing, regression testing to reduce test cost and improve the efficiency of regression testing , regression testing of the software is important and difficult . Regression testing process , the existing test case library is a huge library , which contains redundant and invalid test cases, we need to choose an effective test cases, regression test case selection is an optimization problem, on the one hand its goal is to select the error detection efficiency as high as possible while the test cost as small as possible set of test cases ; hand, can be tested on the test case design information that is objective relations to the reduction, and then testing purposes after reduction construct a test set of equivalence classes based method, consider the test execution , and test the design of the feedback information on the priority of the test , the dynamic adjustment of similar cases with focus priority cases , the exposed as early as possible similar errors. This paper focuses on testing and regression testing , first introduced the research background and significance , detailing software testing basic theoretical knowledge , elaborated regression testing and test optimization foundation of theoretical knowledge . Then the above problem, the existing test suite optimization technique based on the use greedy algorithm is proposed based on the regression test suite test requirements optimization algorithm, and a brief analysis of the algorithm is applied ; simultaneously test design based on information about Jane and the corresponding regression test suite prioritization methods to do a detailed introduction. This paper summarizes the current work of the last and the next step to make the prospect .
