Design of MCS-51 Microcontroller for System on Chip

This thesis focuses on the development of traditional microcontroller , an MCS-51 microcontroller SOC design . On the basis of in-depth analysis of the MCS-51 microcontroller structure to determine the system -level partitioning scheme and overall design ideas . The design uses a top-down digital system design , layer by layer of the whole system is divided into easy to implement some of the sub- module , and using VHDL language to describe these modules . Inter-module connection through port signal and communication with each other . After the design is complete , the application of EDA Quartus II development tools simulate the functions of the various modules ( including the top-level modules and sub-modules ) . Software emulation is correct , and then downloaded to the FPGA device programming files for hardware verification . Experimental results show that : the design and implementation of MCS-51 microcontroller core , and is compatible with all of its 111 instruction , and a high degree of accuracy and practicality , which really completed the MCS-51 microcontroller SOC design .
