With the rapid development of information technology, informatization learning environment and learning patterns innovate constantly. Instructional resources and tools have been used efficiently. The relative research about learning and teaching ability development get more attention from researchers. The development of these studies provides rich instructional resources for application design and practice of IT supported learning strategies for problem solving. Students study in integrative practical activity course who can acquire direct experience. Its target is the development in knowledge and intelligence. Students study knowledge in activities with the help of the information technology tools. After that, they can restructure knowledge construction and give practical significance to the knowledge and skills .This paper’s goal is to cultivate students’ ability of problems solving by application design and practice of learning strategies. The Theoretical basis is psychology research and learning theory on problem solving. the environment is the comprehensive practical activity supported by information technology. The key feature of a strategic design is student centered. The thesis mainly includes five parts:The first part, with explaining the significance and the background of this research, the thesis determines its contents , methods and framework.The second part analyses the relevance between question solution and comprehensive practical activity, including problem solving theory and the ability about solving problems, influencing factors of problem solving and the relationship between ability of problem solving and comprehensive practical activity.The third part, according to the problem solving defined by this article, investigates and analyses the ability to solve problems of the status quo of middle school students.The fourth part expounds the theoretical basis and the principle of application design of IT supported learning strategies for problem solving.The fifth part practice of IT supported learning strategies for problem solving in integrative practical activity course, including keywords, strategic practical significance and the reflection of application.
