Along the development of petroleum industry, the quantity of seamless steel tube and the request to the assortment and specification become large. Based on the existing situation of the producing of seamless steel tube in and out of abroad, It is the first deformation of hot rolling seamless steel tube production, the tube quality stand or fall produced by this deformation has a large effect to follow-up rolling process. Cone pierce can punch difficult deformation metal, which has the characteristic of high efficiency punch, large elongation modulus, high quality tube, which has a fast development and widely used in recent years. On base of summing up the existing situation of steel tube pierce technique and combined with the producing experience and data, reached the deformation mechanism and process of pierce, including:(1) According to the deformation characteristics of high strength large diameter seamless steel pipe, research on high-strength large-diameter seamless conical piercing process.(2) On the basis of the deformation characteristics of high strength large diameter conical perforation, establish the high strength large diameter conical perforation mathematical model, Deduced a high strength large-diameter seamless conical perforation deformation tool and process parameters for the calculation method.(3) Using the data of experiment field collection, develop the calculation software for deforming tools and process adjust parameter. According to the calculation software, the process design is easier, and reduces the periodic of equipment and process. The process design is more reliability and fewer mistakes.(4) Using the software of ANSYS-LS/DYNA to numerical simulation, to research the deformation characteristics of high strength large diameter seamless steel pipe cone process and how the adjust parameters to change the perforation process. In a word, the theoretical research of the process of cone pierce process was combined with the producing practical of modern steel tube, the process causation software was design, and the software can used in practical producing, and the theoretical basis and practical guide to the seamless tube pierce process
