Research on key Technologies of Design for Surface of Automobile Panel Drawing Die Based on Knowledge

With the rapid development of automobile industry and the quick replacement of the vehicle type, people demand better automotive appearance and higher quality, what all those added up to was that the development and production of the new car must be completed within a shorter period of time. However, the inadequate design level of domestic automotive panel dies is the main factors that restrict the development cycle of new cars. The drawing operation is the most critical process in the automotive panel forming process, whether drawing die design is reasonable will directly affect the quality of automotive panel and the cycle of development new vehicle type, so, research on key technologies of the surface of automobile panel drawing die will help to reduce the time of die design.Firstly, the paper summarized the basic knowledge of drawing die process design, which is to guide the design of the die-face of drawing dies.Then the paper calculate the stamping direction, that is using the secondary development of UG NX as stamping direction optimization algorithm platform, establish the objective function based on the influencing factors of the punching direction, and finally obtain the feasible region of stamping direction based on the constraint conditions of non-negative angle. The algorithm, using the linear weighting method, converts the Multi-objective function into Single objective function and writes the code to obtain the panel of stamping direction.The panel’s coordinates is determined according to the stamping direction in the die parts, and the die-face of drawing dies is designed adhere to the design rules of binder surface, addendum surface and draw-bead, several typical automobile panel are also given as shallow and deep drawing delay examples. By using Forming Ratio to analyze the designed die-face of drawing dies, the possible forming defects can be forecasted, and to determine if it needs to amend the binder surface or addendum surface. This paper has also made lots of relevant experiments in the DYNAFORM through importing the die-face of formability analysis, and according to the simulation results to decide if the die-face of drawing dies should be modified. To the bad simulation results, the solution has also been given.Finally, according to the analysis and solution of the problem, the paper has also summarized the design knowledge of the surface of automobile panel drawing die, and the causes and solutions of the crack and wrinkle problems of the panel in the stretch forming process.
