45steel is good at mechanic capability and used widely in Machine Manufacturing;30CrMnSi with high mechanical strength is usually used in turning and there is less study on the grinding process; The superalloy (GH4169) belongs to difficult-to-cut materials and does not apply to common grinding. For these reasons, it is necessary for studying the grinding process of these3kinds of material. The research tasks of the paper are as follows:(1)The performance of45steel,30CrMnSi and superalloy(GH4169) in grinding are introduced. The development of the characteristics of grinding process and the use of the grinding technology in particular of high speed grinding are summarized. The meaning of the grinding surface quality and the calculation theory of surface roughness are generalized. The relevance of vs, vf, ap and the surface roughness on grinding is analyzed.(2)For45steel and30CrMnSi, the orthogonal grinding experiments with the parameter by vs, Vf, ap in MK9025A. are studied. The grinding characteristics of the2materials are analyzed and contrasted. The rule on the influence of the surface roughness on grinding by changing vs, vf, ap is analyzed. The right parameters of the two materials grinding under the experimental conditions are summarized.(3) The data of the orthogonal grinding experiments with the factor of vs, vf, ap in high speed grinding is analyzed. The rule on the influence of the roughness of profile grinding by vs, vf, ap is analyzed. The right parameters of the two materials grinding under the experimental conditions are summarized. The characteristics on common grinding are compared with45steel.(4)For superalloy (GH4169), the grinding experiment by Changing vs is studied.
