The part of algorithm is the new contents consisted in the textbook. We, by the method of investigation and private communications, show that it is not well-prepared for the math teachers in senior high school to teach the algorithms: they could not well understant the essence of the algorithm. Meanwhile, there are many problems for the students. To solve the problem, we, through investigation, carry researches on hte algorithm teaching. Consequently, we find:1. whether or not the algorithm should be teached in senior high school?2. math teachers are not well prepared for algorithm teaching knowledgeably and psychologically.3. The contents in the textbook should be rearranged.4. lack of auxiliary resources and training.Based on the problems above, we suggest1. the math teachers should enhance themselves knowledably.2. the math teachers may adopt some proper and interesting examples to simulate the students’interest in algorithm.3. some contents should be teached practically, i.e., we should balance the teaching theoritically and practically.
