The product design is an important part of the manufacturing sector, and the fatherof the products. general product design process is:First pre design of the product’srudiment by product proposal,3D modeling, prototype production, the finishedproduction. The most difficult to resolve in this process, and the highest technicalcontent is prototype process, the previous method basically is Clay modelmaking, which the biggest drawbacks is time-consuming, hard to get started, requiringprofessionals, and needing long period of practice.Simply is the need for skilledworkers, but even skilled workers make a simple industrial model also takes aboutone to two weeks. There are some other ways, probably carving out of woodproduction, and riding system with offset, but these are more waste of time and effortthan the making of clay model.3D printing technology has been around for a long time, the biggest beneficiariesof this technology is the product design industry in the product manufacturing, thedifficulty of making prototype model in the product design aspect before is solved infront of the3D printing technology, as long asfinished the design of sketches and effectsmap in the early stage, and built3D modelof the product on the computer,we can input them to the3D printer for the productsprototype print, printing general industrial products probably only needs a few hours, and fully automated without any manual operation, which not only greatly reduce thepressure on product designers, but also greatly reduce the design cycle, not onlyimprove the communication between the designers, but also improve thecommunication between designers and customers. This article studies and reflects the advanced and weaknesses of the combinationof3D printing technology and3D modeling techniques in the field of product designby a detailed analysis of the above links, and brings out some of the views andrecommendations of the above shortcomings. Although it may be superficial, I stillwish to give you some help.
