With the continuous development of science and technology in the field of production,Production logistics has been an important part in modern production. And people has alsopay attention to the huge potential of production logistics system. Especially in the days ofproduction cost increase gradually, more and more people will focus on the optimization ofproduction logistics system about how to reduce the production cost. The modern productionlogistics system is a comprehensive and complex system, so it can be affected by manyrandom factors.The analyzed and studied System simulation technology has been used inmany fields widely. In the production process, the analysis research of production logisticsmanagement,production operation,macro or micro management can be made more intuitiveand convincing if combining the production logistics and the computer simulation technology.The paper takes a steering gear factory to the production process of converter as theresearch object. Firstly, carring on the investigation to the steering gear factory productionline, collecting the relevant production line data and production process map, Then, accordingto the testability,the quantifiable and the quick effectiveness of system simulation technology,and use the Flexsim system simulation software as tool, simulation and analys the steeringgear production process, the production logistics and the equipment or the workshopproductions’ status. To evaluate the production logistics according to the simulation results,find out the bottleneck part. And then adjust the steering parts has production order, reduceequipment idle waiting time, thereby improving the bottleneck of processing equipment ordepartments use, improve the utilization rate. Final implementation of load balance of steeringgear production line has been changed, thereby greatly improved productivity.According to study on this topic, which can provides a better reference for the steeringgear factory on the optimization of the production logistics system and workshop facilitieslayout. At the same time,which provides an effective solution for the optimization ofproduction logistics in the similar to the steering gear production process products.
