As our country firmly advocates green energy, the role of natural gas in the future is becoming increasingly important. As the medium between LNG terminal and the consumer, LNG ship is specially used for transporting liquefied natural gas, and the cargo operation becomes very important. According to the national development plan, there will be a large number of LNG terminals in construction and operation in succession, which needs a large quantity of high-qualified LNG carrier operators. An effective shortcut to solve this problem is to develop and does research on the LNG ship liquid cargo operation simulator with self-owned intellectual property rights. As the key part of the simulator, the coach station system plays a crucial role and its performance affects a lot on the training results. This study has realized partial functions of the coach station system, the main works that have done are as follows:(1) Having read a large number of references domestic and overseas, and taking the Neptune CHS simulator imported from Norway as an example, the functional behavioral requirements, performance requirements and operational requirements of the LNG cargo operation simulator coaches station system are identified, which is based on the hardware equipment of the laboratory.(2) The data interfaces of the system are given by using Data Flow Diagram method. And the data exchange process of the cargo simulation training and special training are also established. Then, the preliminary process design scheme of the system is formulated. Some key technologies and important concepts are explained for network communication between the coach system and other subsystems, which lays the foundation of the realization of the system.(3) In full consideration of the general principles and special requirements of the coach station system interface design, part of the main control interfaces are developed, which are scalable and of good interactivity. Database concept structure design and logical structure design of the system database are completed on the basis of the analysis of coach station system database. (4) The coach station control of startup or shutdown of the other subsystems of the simulator is realized. Different information flows will be transmitted and received in different periods of the training process. Taking advantage of the Winsock socket based on TCP/IP protocol, the network communication program are developed by Visual Basic with the combination of TCP and UDP socket, which make the data transmission between the coach system and other subsystems come true.
