The Designation of Multiple Frequency and Wideband Microchip Antenna for 3G Handset

With the coming of the 3G, communication devices had been developed much smaller ,multiple frequency and wide-band. The demands of the capacity, integration and the work band of the antenna are much strict than before. Comparing to the most of the traditional antenna types, there are many advantages of the microchip antennas. Such as small capacity, light weight, low price, thin section plane, and easy to be integrated and processed. Because of these advantages and good performance, microchip antenna has been paid much more attention, and been studied and applied in many fields. So it is very important to study the application of the microchip antenna of 3G devices.First of all, the theoretical basis of the microchip antenna is introduced in this thesis, then focus on the technology of reducing the volume ,multiple frequency and wide-band. At last combine the theoretical knowledge and experience. We use PIFA antenna structure as a rudiment. Then design an antenna of two–bands with G-pattern. After that, we widen it into five-bands with a series of experiments. It can apply both 2G and 3G network. By using the ETS chamber and the CST software of 3D numerical simulation, all results of the two-band antenna and the five-bands antenna are analyzed, optimized and compared.
