Lidar has been widely used in military and civil fields since the first day the radar was created.Its main applications are target detection and ranging.The main contents of this article are the error analysis and correction of laser imaging radar in scanning distortion.The article introduced the characteristics, applications and the basic theory of laser radar, generalized scan imaging technologies and the galvanometer theory. Basing on these and through closely contrasting,selected the components that adapt laser galvanometer based scanning systems. Analyzed the main and secondary reasons of scan distortion via establishing the laser path diagram of galvanometer based scanning systems.Meanwhile the priciples of common correction methods were introduced.Then, functional relationship between any coordinate and deflection angle of scan feild was deduced by inverse function relationship,and a method which caculates the distortion of scan point (x,y) was put forward to make up for theoretical scanning track. At last,the algorithm was proved by software,made the correction of figure distortion more positive. This method can reach the millimeter degree and have a high precision.
