Hardware Design of the Engine Piston Ring Leak Detection Equipment

Piston ring tightness has a very important impact on the overall performance of the internal combustion engine. With the strengthening of the internal combustion engine energy saving regulations, more and more attention has been paid to the leakage loss of an internal combustion engine. With less accurate measurement on piston ring leakage also through careful study and analysis, this paper intends to establish piston ring leakage model programs under three modes:static leakage measurement program, dynamic leakage measurement program and equilibrium leakage measurement program.Advantages and disadvantages of various options as well as their feasibility have been analysed.Design a testing equipment which meets the above three modes at the same time, including the testing machine main power plant, test signal module, the test bench. Select XD6112diesel and XD476gasoline to test the main model, and establish the overall structure by ProE. Select proper pressure for testing and temperature sensor, finish the aonversion of the sensor signal. Choose motor power unit and verify that the motor power, speed, torque to drive the test equipment requirements. This design emphasizes limit sales to meet the positioning of the test equipment. For the purpose of reducing vibration and noise, it uses biaxial linkage equilibrium to test equipment inertia force. Design of the testing equipment meets the specific operation of the above three models, and also it can do analysis on the abrasion performance. Through the combination of both the equipment and software, it can accurately measure the piston ring leakage, and also compare the pros and cons of piston ring.
