The cost of Transmission project is always high and the duration of time is relatively long. As a core part of the Power Grid construction, tochoose the best path of the transmission line of power transmission project, is an important part of the implementation of the design and construction process, ensuring the needs of the majority of users of electricity load and power quality.It can has a direct impact not only on the total cost of the power transmission project, but on the reliability, stability and security of the Power Transmission Project. And thus a reasonable project management and construction control seems to be extremely important.The paper discusses the preferred method of domestic and international transmission line path and start to engage in intensive research and analysis which is based on the choice of the transmission line path for the current characteristics and methods. By introducing and analyzing the various current power transmission line path selection algorithm, it forms a valid comparison of various methods to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their methods. This article selects and establishes the optimal path selection optimization model to achieve the necessary accuracy, and ensure the smooth construction of power transmission line project and puts forward the practical ways and means of project management to ensure that the path of the transmission line construction and the smooth commencement ensuring the stability and rationality of the cost of building construction process.This paper selects an instance of in-depth analysis and research with the help of a substation220kV transmission lines path including a substation project overview, construction features and configuration programs. By the location of its substation, the substation location coordinates with connectivity chart, while it takes into account the particularity of the local situation. And the establishment of the objective function is based on the cost-effectiveness model. The formation of its substation transmission line optimal path selection builds an optimization model. It uses ant colony algorithm for the solution of the program, program validation, Instance and its simulation results show that using ant colony algorithm can effectively improve the accuracy of the optimal path selection of the transmission lines, to achieve a substation the construction of the global optimal path selection, to achieve optimization theory of project management to achieve the optimal path selection.
