Study of Energy-saving Power Dispatch in Power System Based on Differential Evolution Algorithm

Chinese population is numerous. Energy resources are limited. The ownership of per capita resource is far lower than the world average level. China is in the process of industrialization and urbanization, but energy resources are fastly consumed and environmental pollution is serious. The energy crisis and environmental protection has restricted our country economy development and social harmony. As a source of energy consumption and environmental pollution, power industry is one of the important fields of energy saving and emission reduction. The reasonable power dispatch is the breakthrough to reduce the energy consumption and environmental pollution.Combining with the traditional power dispatch, the paper introduces the energy-saving power dispatch. It elaborates the current research status of domestic and foreign energy saving power dispatch and the common scheduling optimization method at present. It analyzes the question of energy saving power dispatch, such as environmental cost, wind cost, hydropower cost and the loss, etc.Differential evolution algorithm is a new type of evolutionary computation technology, equivalent to combining particle swarm optimization algorithm and genetic algorithm. Because it is still a random search algorithm, the search process might have the shortcoming of premature, information limited and judgment simple. According to these shortcomings, this paper proposes two improved forms such as the adaptive adjustment and saturation. According to control parameters on the effect of population search, the adaptive adjustment changes control parameters in the iteration process; Saturation is the measure of objective function value, and makes algorithm search for the optimal solution of population on the global level. The classic function verifies the effectiveness and superiority of the modified algorithm.The paper establishes the model of containing wind energy-saving power dispatch, the model of containing hydropower energy-saving power dispatch and the model of containing wind and hydropower energy-saving power dispatch, and the scheduling models are respectively simulated by IEEE nodes power system; The results showed that the environmental cost may make the good emission characteristics units increase generating capacity and make the poor emission characteristics units reduce generating capacity, comply with the good emission characteristics units priority. The kind of clean energy can not only achieve good effect of energy saving and emission reduction, but also be good for the system total cost reduction.Particle swarm optimization, differential evolution and improved differential evolution algorithm are in the application of containing wind and hydropower energy-saving power dispatch. The value of goal fitness function, total emissions and costs optimized by improved differential evolution algorithm are less than the results of particle swarm optimization and differential evolution algorithm. The good optimization result of energy-saving power dispatch can be achieved by improved differential evolution algorithm.
