With the rapid development of science and technology in contemporary society, mankind has been in theera of automation.Meanwhile, the use of information and automation technology in protecting the ecologicalenvironment and conserving energy has become the world an important development trend. The constructionand research of agricultural facilities has been the substance of developing modern agriculture andconstructing new socialist countryside.To adapt to the challenge of conserving environment in modernsociety,electrical energy is replacing original oil and diesel fuel that are non-renewable sources of power as anew generation of power source.Rotary tillers are widely used in cultivating soil due to its outstanding pulverizer capacity and flat surfaceafter plowing, especially useful to the compacted soil that result from multiple irrigation. A small rotary tillerused in greenhouse farming industry will be studied in this paper. Its original oil and diesel fuel will bereplaced by electrical energy.In this way,it eliminates the emissions of PM2.5and other harmful gas,meanwhile,it will not only improve the greenhouse environment of the crop growth, but also achieve theautomatic control of the rotary tiller. Frequency control technology has become the mainstream of theelectrical variable speed,consequently,this paper will apply to this technology to adjust to the motor walkingand rotation speed.In this thesis, greenhouse electric rotary tiller is studied as the main research object. The author attainsthe power loss that rotary tiller is working and determines the motor type and model through the analysis of themain factors affecting the rotary tiller power theory. The motor walking and rotation speed can be controled bythe application of inverter PID. The derivation of the motor current and the transfer function of the speed isbased on the motor mathematical model.The author mixed the corresponding PID control,deduced thecontrol parameters and designed the simulation on the motor by using MATLAB Simulink software. Paperalso completed the selection and structures of the peripheral devices, the hardware design of system powersupply circuit, the communication between the inverter with the MCU, the rotary tiller depth measurementcircuit and the corresponding software design.
