Search on the Adaptability Evaluation of Small Householder’s of the Water-saving Irrigation Technology

Agricultural technology innovation is the key factor for food security and sustainableagricultural development. There are also many new results in China, but many of them did nothave proper application. Or once they are put into use, many problems came out. This hadbeen an existing challenge in the scientific area.To study the adoption and adaptability of the water-saving irrigation technology, we needfirst to know the deep meaning of adaptability, which also helped to measure how the WSItechnology developed. First, to build evaluation indicators based on the view of farmers’satisfaction. Then next to judge the performance of the evaluation indicators depending on theexisting situation. To study the adoption and adaptability of the water-saving irrigationtechnology,, first to do qualitative research to explore what the problems were and what’s thereason for that. At the same time, we also can find the related influence among those factors.In order to promote the water-saving irrigation technology well among the small-scalefarmers in the arid and semi-arid areas, we aimed at the high-value vegetables. Quantitativeresearch was used in this part. Several factors were chosed to be collected from the farmers.Then a model was built to find out which factors were significant and which were not. A deepdiscussion was made after that.In the end, we got the conclusion from the satisfaction of the farmers. And depending ontheir satisfaction, the adoption and adaptability of the water-saving irrigation technology cameout. Several suggestion were given based on the analysis of significance of the factors.
