Rotary cylinder dryer machine(hereinafter referred to as the drum drying machine) is a very wide application of drying equipment, since it has great capacity of production, continuous operation, simple structure, convenient operation, etc. In the industry of chemical, the light industry, coal, building materials, metallurgy ect, occupies an important position.This article analyzed a kind of single-channel drum dryer machine by using the finite element software ANSYS, and optimized the thickness of the cylinder according to the results of the analyzed intensity. Firstly, the application of finite element software ANSYS was used to establish the whole drum dryer model by its strongly modeling function; Secondly, the wholly analysis of the drum dryer machine mainly includes several parts,for example,the drum dryer machine under the action of forces in the static analysis, roll wheel part with the contact analysis, drum dryer machine working in the thermal stress. Based on the static analysis of drum dryer machine, get the data of the distribution when the machine working in static and torque load stress; Through the main work parts of the tyre-roller wheel contact analysis, get the data of the contact stress and verifies the tyre-roller tug of contact stress lower than the allowable stress, selected materials has the ability to maintain the normal work of the whole equipment; Based on drum drying machine of temperature field simulation and thermal stress analysis, getting the data of the stress and strain condition when the drum dryer machine is working. The Strength analysis of the drum dryer machine, on one hand verifies that it meets the design requirements; on the other hand, for the optimization design of the drum dryer machine.According to the strength analysis of the drum dryer machine, optimized the cylinder by the analysis data.The optimized design principle is that in the condition of its work requirement of the machine, reduce its weight. The results of optimization design data show that the dryer is conservative, machine is also slightly heavy, through the optimization the cost of the dryer drum machine is reduced and the time of design is shorten, the results of the optimazation make dryer drum machine tend to be more reasonable.
