[Objective]:To study the value of Heart Function Echocardiographic Multi-Parameter Score (HF-EMPS) in assessment therapeutic effect of Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) patients.[Method]:We selected110patients with Chronic Heart Failure (CHF), measured their HF-EMPS which was composed of multiple basic echocardiography parameters and the New York Heart functional class; treated them according to the2009AHA heart failure guidelines; made follow-up visits regularly via the telephone or clinic visit; rechecked echocardiography HF-EMPS score within4-6months after the first diagnosis. And then:1. Analyzed the relationship between HF-EMPS and New York heart function class.2. Analyzed HF-EMPS and its constituent parameters before and after intensive treatment of intractable heart failure.3.Analyzed the echocardiography characteristic of intractable heart failure patients.4. Application HF-EMPS analyzed the therapeutic effect in different causes and different degrees HF-EMPS.[Results]:1. HF-EMPS values increased as the New York heart function class progressed and there was significant difference between every two class.2. after intensive treatment of intractable heart failure, the HF-EMPS and pulmonary artery pressure parameter and left ventricular diastolic function parameter of the second follow-up were notable lower than the first follow-up (P<0.05), but left ventricular remodeling parameter and left ventricular systolic function and valve regurgitation parameter were no significant difference (P>0.05); Continue intensive treatment, HF-EMPS and its constituent parameters were no significant difference between the second and third follow-up.3. Intractable heart failure patients’mitral regurgitation degree was more seriouser and mitral annulus was bigger than other CHF patients, and the the difference was significant (P<0.05); there were19patients Septal-to-posterior wall motion delay time longer than130ms in intractable heart failure.4. With the duration of treatment, the HF-EMPS values of all causes showed a decreasing trend, but the degree was not same, peripartum cardiomyopathy and hypertensivecardiopathy HF-EMPS decreased most obvious, and dilated cardiomyopathy decreased degree was littlest. Patients whose HF-EMPS values between4-7, their HF-EMPS values decreased most obvious after therapy, the higher HF-EMPS of first diagnosis, the higher after therapy.[Conclusions]:Heart function Echocardiographic Multi-Parameter Score (HF-EMPS) is valuable in assessment therapeutic effect of Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) patients, the higher HF-EMPS, the poorer effect after therapy, medium short-term drug therapy can stabilize haemodynamics, but hard to reverse remodeling. Echocardiography can be used to select CHF patients who receive poor effect after drug therapy among follow-up, and make other solution.
