The Research about the Influence of Annao Pingchong Tang to Cerebral Edema and the Expressions of AQP-4 and MMP-2/9 after Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Objectives:To observe the effect of Annao Pingchong Tang to brain water content、neurobehavioral scores and aquaperin-4 (AQP-4)、matrix metalloproteinase-2/9 (MMP-2/9) in the perhematoma after ICH in rats.Methods:To establish a cerebral hemorrhage model in rats by local injection of type IVcollagenase, and healthy SD rats were randomly divided into three groups:normal group、sham-operated group、model builded group. The model builded group is divided into treatment group and model group based on neurobehavioral scores. Sham-operated group、treatment group and model group were subdivided into five groups according to the time points of the 12th. 24th、48th、72th and 120th hours. The general condition、brain water content and the express of AQP-4 and MMP-2/9 will be observed after intracerebral hemorrhage.Results:The expressions of the AQP-4、MMP-2/9 in perhematoma began to increase highly, reached its peak value at 48 to 72th hours. Compared with ICH model group, the neurobehavioral scores of the treatment group of Annao Pingchong Tang is unimproved,but the brain water content is reduced,the express of AQP-4 and MMP-2 are reduced at 24 to 120th hours and there are no difference at 12th, the express of MMP-9 is reduced at 24th、48th and 120h hours, there are no difference at 12th and 72th hours.Conclusion:The relative expressions of the AQP-4、MMP-2/9 in perihematoma began to increase highly, reached its peak value at 48 to 72th hours, then decreased at 120th. Annao Pingchong Tang can reduce the expression of AQP-4、MMP-2/9 and relieve brain edema in ICH rats, but can not improve the neurobehavioral scores.
