Compare with the Cardiotoxicity of Anthracyclines: Adriamycin and Epirubicin

Objective：The use of anthracyclines by observation (adriamycin, epirubicin) drugsfor the changes in the level of electrocardiogram（ECG）and cardial enzymes before andafter chemotherapy in patients with cancer of the main adjuvant chemotherapy.Methods：From January2006to January2011received anthracycline ECG, myocardialenzymes before and after chemotherapy data were analyzed in the first affiliated hospitalof Xinjiang Medical University and diagnosed with cancer patients. Results：In320cases with adriamycin or epirubicin chemotherapy of tumor patients, the abnormal rate ofECG was31.9%, when adriamycin accumulation amount of＜200mg/m2,200~350mg/m2,350~500mg/m2,＞500mg/m2the abnormal rate of ECG were15.7%,30.2%,47.7%,64.0%; when epirubicin accumulation amount of＜200mg/m2,200~350mg/m2,350~500mg/m2,＞500mg/m2the abnormal rate of ECG were13.3%,18.5%,32.1%,58.3%. In order to adriamycin and epirubicin as the main auxiliary chemotherapy ECGwere compared, there was no statistical significance（P＞0.05）, and make a study ofbreast cancer and non Hodgkin’s lymphoma, abnormal rate of breast cancer with TAchemotherapy before and after the emergence of ECG was40%, TE appeared abnormalrate of ECG was20%, with statistical significance（P＜0.05）. The abnormal rate of nonHodgkin’s lymphoma by CHOP regimen chemotherapy before and after the emergence ofECG was51.4%, use the CEOP schemes the abnormal rate of ECG up to30.8%, Beforeand after chemotherapy in patients with myocardial enzyme, there was statisticalsignificance（P＜0.05）. Conclusions：There were cardiac toxicity of adriamycin orepirubicin, while the adriamycin’s cardiotoxicitier than epirubicin. The cardiac toxicityincreased with the accumulation of drugs.
