ObjectiveTo investigate the expression and clinical significance of RGS5in Colorectal carcinoma.MethodsThe expression of RGS5mRNA were detected by RT-PCR in Colorectal carcinoma tissues from58patients and para cancerous tissues from42patients.ResultsThe expression of RGS5mRNA in the observation group was0.307±0.032, significantly higher than that in the control group (0.147±0.015), P<0.05. In the stage I and stage II group, the expression of RGS5mRNA in superficial Colorectal carcinoma was0.273±0.017, significantly lower than the stage III and stage IV cancer0.329±0.014,(P<0.05).In the Moderately and Well-differentiated adenocarcinomas the expression of RGS5mRNA was0.297±0.032, significantly lower than the Not and low differentiated adenocarcinomas0.323±0.017,(P<0.05). And it was independent to the size of the tumour, age and sex of Colorectal carcinoma patients.Conclusions1. The expression of RGS5mRNA in Colorectal carcinoma tissues is higher, It may be relevant to the occurrence and development process of the Colorectal carcinoma.2. The expression of RGS5mRNA had relationship with degrees of differentiation, TNM classification, it revealed that the RGS5may be helpful to estimate the clinical prognostic of Colorectal carcinoma.
