Analysis and Optimization for Pharmaceutical Storage Management System in Hospital

With the reformatory development of medical organization in China, efficiency and profit, to the hospitals, become the goals, and lowing cost is the key point to develop further and enhance the competition. Before the“separation of medicine and pharmacy”is not completely practiced, the pharmacy has a great deal of stored drugs, occupying huge funds, which not only influences the routine circulation of fund, but also increases the running cost in hospitals. As relative departments of the State Council jointly published the“Guidance on Reformations of Medicine and Health in Cities and Towns”in February, 2002, hospitals realized that to cut down the operating cost of drugs, reformations of current drug circulation are necessary to solve the common problems in current management of drugs reserve and to select scientific and reasonable patterns for management of drugs reserve on the condition that the drug quality and the clinic drug supply are both guaranteed.During the important period of reformation and development of medicine and health, this paper, based on the general conditions of hospitals in China, suggests that developing the management of“empty”drug reserve is a necessary tendency of drugs reserve innovations. The investigation and analysis ofthe drug management problems in Xixiang People’s Public Hospital in Shenzhen city demonstrats the necessity of carrying out the drug managements of“empty”reserve. Based on the analysis of source and principle of“empty”reserve management, it is elucidated that the concept of“empty”reserve management should be applied to the thoughts, the major styles, the practice links, and the achieving goals of hospital’s drug reserve management. By the comparisons between the traditional drug management patterns and the“empty”reserve management, the positive functions of adopting new drug management pattern are raised. To further build the pattern and provide the direction of further research, The Delphi Method was employed to research predictably on the building the pattern of“empty”drug reserve management. Xixiang People’s Public Hospital in Shenzhen city served as the research object concerning the specific implementation of“empty”drug reserve.Analysis and optimization were done to the reserve management system to construct the“empty”drug reserve management pattern. At last, a comparison is made between the drug service data before and after the“empty”drug reserve management pattern was carried out in order to test the validity of this pattern.
