Library users are the main object of library services, and library services’all purposes are to be from the users’point of view. The ultimate goal of library services is to meet the needs of users’value, creating value for customers. At present, for the research of the value of library users has got the libraries’concern and attention and made some significant academic achievements. But the explanation of the value of library users still stay on the information benefit and other material phase, instead of studying from the spiritual point of view. After researching the relevant papers about the value of library users published inside and outside our country, this thesis explains the value of library users from the phase of the spiritual needs with a new interpretation.This paper applies to the literary analysis, hierarchical analysis and summary and induction. First of all, it analyze the definition of value and Marx’s philosophy of judging the spiritual needs from a philosophical point of view, and analyze the value relationship between the library and users, to establish the philosophy association between the two better. Meanwhile, Maslow Need Theory, Personality Theory of Demand, Customer Demand Theory and Staff Motivation Theory and other fields’theories are applied to study of the value of library users, which combines the professional knowledge and the specific work and practice together to promote the library service work. According to the professional understanding and summary, this paper presents the definition of the value of library users, and makes detailed description of the characteristics and manifestations of the value of users. Finally, it raises realization strategy about how to improve user value from the reality of library work, using the methods and measures about elevating the user value in marketing and other business practices.
