As a basic education curriculum, chemistry occupies a special position inhigh school education. Exercise is an important part of chemistry textbook. Today,when qualification education is advocated, examination education and so called‘endless exercises’ have no longer met the requirement of the era. The exercisewhich is helpful to the development of students has these functions such asarousing students’ interests, progressive increasing difficulty, pressing close tolife and community, and realizing the final goal of developing students’ scientificliteracy, training students’ corrected scientific view and world outlook.Recently, education internationalization has become the new trend ofinternational education development. In this tide of internationalization,educators need to broaden their horizon, study the excellent foreign mainstreamtextbook actively. On the basis of absorbing educational experience abroad andstudying the compilation of foreign textbook, more efficient chemistryeducational method will be researched with consideration of domestic conditions.A-Level CIE is the senior level courses of general secondary educationcertificate examination in England. The certificate of the courses is set asentrance requirements of recruiting new students by nearly every English mediumcollege. Hence, A-Level course is praised by International educational field asGolden education courses.Through analysis of the problem sets of Cambridge chemistry textbook andintroduction of teaching experience, the characteristics of exercises such aseasing the burden on students, improving the learning interest and cultivatingstudents’ ability to solve practical problems are summarized. The characteristicsof exercise of Cambridge chemistry textbook are also illustrated by typicalexamples. The teaching advice of concrete instruction is proposed. Statisticalanalysis is applied according to the results of the questionnaire and interview ofteaching process. The whole research could provide a certain reference to thehigh school teaching of chemistry exercise.
