The Expression of mRNA of E-cadherin in Epithelial Ovarian Tumor and Their Significance

Objective:To detect the expression of mRNA of E-cadherin(E-cad) in epithelial ovarian tumor and investigate the correlation between E-cad and epithelial ovarian tumor.In order to know better the pathogenesy of epithelial ovarian tumor, and provide theoretical basis to clinical diagnosis and therapy.Methods:The mRNA levels of E-cad were analyzed by FQ-PCR (Fish real time quantitative-polymerase chain reaction)in the fresh normal ovarian tissues, beningn ovarian tumor tissues,and epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissues.Results The expression of the mRNA of E-cad in normal ovarian surface epithelium,benign epithelial ovarian tumors and epithelial ovarian carcinomas was respectively 0,(0.2617±0.1382) and (0.0127±0.0181),there was statistical significance between benign epithelial ovarian tumors and epithelial ovarian carcinomas groups(P<0.05). There was a negative correlation between clinical stage and the expression of mRNA of E-cad (r=-0.873) (P<0.05). There was a positive correlation between the duration of survival and the expression of mRNA of E-cad (r=0.602) (P<0.05). There was not statistical significance between pathological grade and the expression of mRNA of E-cad(P>0.05)Conclusions:E-cad may be one of the indexes as progression and prognostic indicators of epithelial oarian cancer. E-cad can provide a thinking for molecular target therapy of epithelial ovarian.
