Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is a great Russian composer in the nineteenth Century.He is one of the important representatives of Romantic and Russia national school ofmusic. He wrotealtogether three ballet. Among them, the ballet Swan Lake is the creation of the firstballet music. The music was completed in 1876, a total of four acts,29 . Swan Lakehas always been regarded as the pronoun of the art of ballet. Swan Lake music by thecritics as" first make dance works with the music of the soul". Tchaikovsky havegreat originality to symphonic music creation thinking, method into the ballet music,thus changing the status and the role of music in the ballet.According to the Swan Lake music harmony technique as the research object,from the chord material, harmony, tonality, non-harmonic note, termination type fiveaspects carries on the analysis proof, and summarized on the basis of Tchaikovsky inthis ballet works embodied in the harmony characteristic, thus more deep explorationTchaikovsky novel harmonic technique characteristics.The full text is divided into three parts:The first chapter: Tchaikovsky ballet Swan Lake basic music features. Thischapter is divided into three sections, mainly from the dominant theme developmentpractices, skillful orchestration, nationality and a plurality of music composingtechnique three aspects carry on the analysis discussion.The second chapter: Swan Lake harmony technique analysis. This chapter is thecore section, divided into five sections. Mainly from the chord ( four six chords,double genus of altered chords, genus of altered chords, Napoli chords and composite chords ), Harmonic progression(functional, continuous tone, repetitiveharmonic vocabulary, chromaticism, out of tune and block for preventing ), mode( mode layout, tonal conversion technique ), non-harmonic note ( suspension,appoggiatura ), cadence ( goldge termination, plagal cadence, with seven chords oftermination) five aspects in detail the whole ballet harmony technique are analyzedand summarized.The third chapter : Harmony in the role of Swan Lake music. This chapter is thefull text of the summary of chapters, mainly from two aspects to elaborate. Theharmony to portray the character image effect (the White Swan, the demon prince,the devil these three main characters ), and each part layout and ballet musicdevelopment performance combined with the harmony.Conclusion: Based on the above investigation, to play in the use of harmonictechniques were summarized, in order to perspective Tchaikovsky’s ballet worksembodied the harmonic feature, so as to further elucidate this ballet music theoryvalue and far-reaching influence.
