My dissertation A.A.Mylnikov and the Chinese oil painting education and creationis discussed under the historic background that Russian oil painting’s influence onChinese oil painting creation and education. By introducing “Mylnikov’s oil paintingtraining course” which was at the same period of “Konstantin M. Maksimov trainingcourse”，supplementing the situation of the former soviet union’s oil painting expertsin China in1950s, this dissertation will provide a new perspective for understandingand evaluating objectively and properly the Russian art history and art value at thatperiod of the former soviet union.This dissertation begins with the historic background of subject discussion, byusing a number of document material and historical case, interviewing the mainmembers of the “Mylnikov’s oil painting training course” of that period, combiningmy experience of6years studies in Repin Academy of Fine Arts, the dissertationpresents thoroughly and authentically the educational system and creation situation inRepin Academy of Fine Arts which is now take the “Mylnikov studio” as therepresentative. And take it as the entry point, by analyzing Mylnikov’s artachievement and teaching results, the thesis will compare the contemporary academicart (oil painting) education between Russia and China, and rethink the causes of greatinfluence that Russian(the former soviet union) oil painting(especially the Realistic oilpainting creation and teaching) has made to the development of Chinese oil painting,and then discuss the effect that Russian oil painting(especially the Realistic oilpainting creation and teaching system) could be made to the oil painting creation andeducation in contemporary Chinese academic art college.The core part of the article has put forward the conception of “Mylnikovphenomenon”, and from the perspective of research phenomenon it extended into theoutlook and analysis for the development path of Chinese oil painting. And with theMylnikov’s artistic characteristics, the article analyzed the diversified development potential of the contemporary realistic oil painting. And then by rethinking thetraditional Chinese painting elements such as “the line, the artistic conception, theblack-white layout” etc., the “reaction force” efficacy of the Russian contemporaryrealistic oil painting, so as to re-examine the artistic characteristics of the nationalculture in traditional Chinese painting.At last, facing the present, in terms of the future development of the Chinese oilpainting, how to keep the initiative and independence of choosing the form of artisticexpression, we’ll look ahead from the practical perspective of the artistic creation andthe education mode.
