National culture innovation and industrial chain - a case study of Guangxi Longzhou Jinlong Budai ethnic group "the culture" as an example

As a sunrise industry of the21st century, culture industry is also a new way to develop and promote the ethnic culture. Ethnic culture is a unique and traditional culture with ethnic characteristics. It is also the memory and heritage of the ethnic group’s history with the traits of diversity, ethnicity and regionalism.Industrialization of ethnic culture is an innovation. The development of the industrialization of the ethnic culture can carry forward the ethnic culture, favor the human cultural diversity, harmony and symbiosis, protect the cultural resources of the ethnic groups, enhance the country’s soft power, doubled the country’s cultural influence. From national level, the policies, such as "Decisions of the Party Central Committee on Some Important Issues on Deepening Culture System Reform and Making Socialist Culture Develop and Flourish" put forward by the Third Plenary Session of the Twelfth Central Committee, and "The Cultural Reform and Development Plan in12th Five-year-plan Period" also has national " strongly support and promote the development of the culture industry, which provide new opportunities for the culture industry in China, especially for the ethnic culture industry.Tian Qin is a kind of plucked Instrument with more than1000years history. It belongs to the Budai ethnic group, a branch of Zhuang people who are living on the Sino-Vietnamese border. Due to its unique sounds and is known locally as "Ding" or "Tripod". It consists of string-bearing neck, tube, tuning peg, strings and other components. It usually plays a religionary role in Budai’s traditional culture, mostly for communication between nature and man, praying good fortune and ending disaster. Gradually, Tian Qin culture is discovered by folk musicians, and then with the help of modern performing arts, it has the value of stage performance and appreciation of art. Notably it caused a stir on the party called "Taste of Southeast Asia" in the2003Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival and attracted an increasing number of scholars and experts. It has not only become the Budai cultural identity of a group, is gradually evolving to a culture brand of Longzhou or even Guangxi.This paper is based on field research with application of ethnological, sociological theories and methods, in the perspective of cultural industries to analyze the development road of Tian Qin culture’s industrialization from the aspects of art chain, inheritance chain, tourism chain and market chain. Chapter I is about Tian Qin culture’s art chain, which is divided into traditional culture and stage culture. Chapter II is about Tian Qin culture’s tourism chain, which is divided into ethnic tourism and ethnic culture industrialization, tourism construction of the Budai folk culture in Jinlong village, and overall views on the tourism resources of the weather culture. Chapter Ⅲ is about Tian Qin culture’s education chain, composing of the traditional and modern heritage ways. Chapter IV is about Tian Qin culture’s market chain, including the Tian Qin as gifts and its brand effect. Chapter V describes the industrialization road of Tian Qin culture and analyzes the present situations, existing problems, development feasibility and specific ideas of Tian Qin culture. Chapter VI is the conclusion, including thoughts on the industrialization of the ethnic cultures, mainly on some new innovative understanding on the ethnic culture, and emphasis on the importance of cultural diversity and harmony.The industrialization development of Tian Qin culture is a kind of innovation and reproduction. In the process of industrialization, Tian Qin culture has experienced three stages of adaptation, integration and construction. On the basis of preserving traditional culture and community spirit, Tian Qin culture responses to the trend of modern society, integrates the traditional and modern elements associated with Tian Qin culture, and constructs new transmission mode, protection mode and development mode. In this way, a new way for the development of Tian Qin culture is found.Of course, on the basis of fully respecting the will of Budai people who are the owner of Tian Qin culture, the industrialization development of Tian Qin is created by Budai people’s activeness and consciousness, the State power (including the national policies and the local government), and the strengths of academics and performing groups. Namely, it is a joint effort of Budai people and other social forces.Through the reproductions of arts, tourism, education, market chain, Tian Qin culture glows with a new vigor and vitality with its gradually increased economic and socio-political effects, and enhanced sense of identity of Budai people.In addition, through the industrialization development of Tian Qin culture, we know the importance of culture innovation, diversity and harmonious coexistence.The research can not only enlarge the research vision and contents of Tian Qin culture, but also promote new ideas about the heritage, conservation, promotion and development of the ethnic cultures, which is definitely in favor of deepening the researches on the theories about innovation and industrialization of the ethnic cultures.
