In recent years, school-basic course is developing rapidly. And local culture is attractingmore and more attention. This paper is based on Tangshan cultural resources with localcharacters and begin the first exploration on the road of the development and practice ofTangshan school-basic Chinese course with local characters.Tangshan is rich in the resources of local cultural courses. Developing and applicating itproperly and reasonably can not only develop teachers’ professional quality but also improveschools’ running grades. It’s more important that these course resources are closely relatedwith students. By learning this course, students can improve their humane quality, strengthentheir passion to love their hometown as well as inherit and develop the perfect culturaltradition.First, this ethesis summarizes the background and realistic significance of school-basiccourse developing, the study tendency and current situation and the theoretical and realisticsignificance of the issue. Then surrounding the issue “the development of Tangshancharacteristic cultural school-basic course”,it speciifcally discourses some problems existingin the school-basic course, including its target, signiifcance, foundation and principle. Then, itintroduces the cultural resources of Tangshan school-basic course developing from the pointsof places of interest, the Cradle of Tangshan Industry, Earthquake-Resistance Spirit, theTangshan dialect called Laotai Dialect, famous people in Tangshan cultural history, folk art,diet culture, and so on. In the following chapter, it analyzes and discourses “theimplementation of Tangshan school-basic courses”,including the course forms and theevaluation forms of Tangshan characteristic cultural school-basic course. In the end, two casessummarized in practice are offered.The target of the issue is that it wants to have some helpful tries to carry forwardTangshan culture, to offer some theoretical foundationand practical plans for the study ofTangshan school-basic courses, to improve students,Chinese quality and develop theirpractice ability, to make them know more about Tangshan, their hometown and proud ofTangshan.?
