Perceptual learning is a kind of implicit learning, it indicates some consistent changes of human perception caused by training or own experience. These changes could be positive or negative. Perceptual learning may not only change one’s perceptual acuity or behavioral potential, but also imply the updating of decision making system within perception processing. The neural basis of perceptual learning is the plasticity of primary brain areas. Transfer of perceptual learning means the learning effect of training condition could make influences to the untrained conditions. The studies of the perceptual learning transfer are about to utilize the improvement of perception more wisely.In this study, paradigm used to measure the generalisabilty of perceptual learning in single modality/multiple modalities TOJ task includes three phrases:pre-training test, training, post-training test.In study one, A between-subjects design was empployed with the12observers randomly divided into two training groups, with each group to be trained on temporal onset discrimination in a particular modality:visual onset training, auditory onset training. The training phase consisted of seven separate days of testing on the temporal order judgment task. The daily training consisted of an480-trial adaptive staircase to estimate thresholds for onset TOJs, as described below. Subjects were also tested on the day before and the day after the training phase to establish pre-training and post-training performance. The training effect can be quantified by finding the difference between pre-and post-training performance and expressing this as a proportionate change from the pre-training baseline.In study two we use the same paradigm as in study one, training was integrated visual and auditory stimulation in two groups before and after (a set of stimulus matched by a visual stimulus with an auditory stimulus presented at the same time) and timing judgment, the present study test training process the timing judgment of the two stimulus with sensory channel properties, to investigate the multi-sensory migration timing perceptual learning under the conditions of the integration of information in a single channel under conditions of sensory information, as well as other multi-sensory information integration under conditions of migration.Conclusion:Transfer of perceptual learning occurred in both single modality and mul-tiple modalities TOJ tasks. Perceptual learning of the multiple modalities TOJ training task performed better than single modality.
