Shi De is a common chapter structure in Chinese, Shi and De are closely linked, but we can not find it in Eight Hundred Words In Modern Chinese or the latest version of the Modern Chinese Dictionary, which means Shi De is not a word yet.On the Shi De to the issue of whether words, and the pragmatic functions of Shi De, Shi De chapters in the position of the frequency and role are discussed in this paper which we focused on. Through a large number of corpus based on the use of historical documents were added when the description of the comparison, elaborate on the arguments.This paper includes five parts. The first chapter is the introduction, which describes the research of Shi De in history and at present, and also the idea and methods in this paper, as well as the source corpus. In the second part of the Shi De formation, we try to talk about semantic grammaticalization of Shi De, curing and access to the reasons for the proposed dialogue on issues such as context, try to clarify from the perspective of grammaticalization the source of Shi De. The third part gives a division on pragmatic functions of Shi De. The fourth part of this paper is about the different functions impact of different way of writing. The fifth part is the conclusion with suggestions for future research.
