At present, the Basic Education Curriculum Reform requires to improve the study stateof students and pay more attention to the integrated development of students. But theburden of homework has become an indisputable fact, and it is a persistent problem in thefield of basic education. By allowing students to complete homework, to consolidate,expand and apply their knowledge and skills, the development of creativity, and can timelyand accurately reproduce. But entrance voucher competition gradually spread to theprimary school, elementary homework also gradually evolved into a "teaching supplement","strengthening of teaching", the original meaning of homework has lost.This study is divided into four parts: The first part is the introduction part of the paper.It is mainly introduces the reason of selected topic, research object, research methods andresearch significance. The second part is the literature review. First of all, defines themeaning of the assignments and homework; On primary school students homework athome and abroad related policy, theory and empirical research has carried on thepreliminary summary; Finally, the existing research lays a foundation for further research.The third part of the paper’s investigation, data statistics and the analysis of the follow-up.Survey mainly includes:1, homework time is too long;2, boring homework content;3,homework form single;4,grow along with the grade and lower positive initiative; Teacher’sperception of homework mainly includes:1, the homework is opposite bigger, difficult toadapt to students;2. homework form a single, difficult to stimulate students interest;3. forthe purpose of homework and cognitive is not full and accurate;4. homework correctingmechanical and single evaluation way. The fourth part is the countermeasure and thesuggestion of the paper. Based on the investigation, the suggestions mainly are:1. Theamount of homework to "fewer but better";2. Homework content to focus more on skillrather than a statement of knowledge;3. The homework forms should be vivid, more closeto life;4. Homework evaluation and guidance should be scientific and reasonable.
