Based curriculum development ideas from the Western developed countries. It generated for the drawbacks of the national curriculum development, school-based curriculum development, course democratization of the decision-making. During a long time, China’s geographical curriculum has been dominated by the national curriculum, with the social, economic and cultural development, unified geographical curriculum has showed many deficiencies inherent in changing the single national curriculum system, moderate development of school-based curriculum become a necessity. In recent years, with the enactment of the’three course management policy’, school-based curriculum development has become the important thing that schools and teachers must face to. School-based curriculum development and the corresponding national curriculum development, and promote the development of students, educational equity, full participation and decision-making to share the basic concept of the development of personality of students, the formation of school characteristics, and promote teacher professional development and training kinds specifications talent plays an important role. Geography based curriculum development in line with the requirements of a new concept of the New Geography Curriculum standards. The analysis of the concept of school-based curriculum development, the historical trajectory of the school-based curriculum development, school-based curriculum development, the purpose and value of school-based curriculum development and school-based curriculum development ideological foundation focusing on the theory and practice of school-based curriculum for high school geography the development of operational processes are discussed, reference development model:organizations, scenario analysis, and goals, programming, interpretation and implementation, evaluation and revision.
