The main purpose of this study is worthy of our reference Comparative Study onthe stage of basic education in China and the United Kingdom Sports curriculumstandards to identify the curriculum standards of UK Sport provide a reference for theimprovement of the physical education curriculum standards and the smoothimplementation. The object of this paper is:"Physical Education (and Health)curriculum standards of our country promulgated by the Ministry of Education in2001, the British Ministry of Education Employment and Qualifications andCurriculum Authority published jointly by the stage of basic education physicaleducation curriculum standards in2000. The main literature, comparative study oflaw and logic analysis, on the Sino-British stage of basic education physical educationcurriculum standards in the nature of the course, course objectives, course content, thefield of courses, course management, course evaluation of several aspects of thecontent for comparative analysisThrough analysis and comparison, the conclusions obtained in this study are asfollows:1) China’s new curriculum standards and the UK national sports curriculumstandards are promulgated by the national unity of the national curriculum, requiredcourses, mandatory;2) of physical education curriculum objectivescomplete system,but many hierarchy, is not conducive to the operation of educators in practice. Britishsports curriculum goals compared to China’s more concise, and conducive to theoperation of the understanding and practice of sports workers.3) British NationalPhysical Education Curriculum course content provides our country did not requirethe course content, this is the place of British sports curriculum of physical educationcurriculum difference;4) British sports courses focus on the evaluation of thecoherence and differential treatment, which is lacking in the Physical EducationAssessment System in China; also raised the level grade students were selected to thedifferent evaluation methods;5) British sports courses will learn the field of theprovisions of the six different sports activities, division of physical educationcurriculum learning areas showing systematic advantages, but the level is too cumbersome;6) British sports curriculum implementation process of teachersteaching the ABC three principles provide a good guide to the first-line physicaleducation teachers, the implementation of physical education curriculum requirementsof a lack of clear guidance;7)between teacher autonomy and government interventionBritish sports course management seek to strike the right balance point, this is theplace to be strengthened in the curriculum standards in China。
