Citizen consciousness is the core concept in modern society, and good citizenconsciousness is the basis for the development of modern society. College students are thefuture of nation, the level of college students’ citizen consciousness will affect theconstruction of civil society, so we must pay attention to research into college students‘citizen consciousness. Tibetan is one of the native populations in Qinghai provinces, andenhancing civic identity of Tibetan students is not only related to their individualdevelopment, but also of great significance for economic development and socialdevelopment in the Tibetan area. It is the basis for building a civil society.In this study, theused research method is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The study is based on datacollected with questionnaire which truly reflect the citizen consciousness of Tibetan collegestudents in Qinghai. According to the anaysis on actual survey data, the citizen consciousnessof the Qinghai Tibetan students is at the middle level, citizen consciousness of boys and girlshas no significant differences,citizen consciousness of Tibetan undergraduates in different grades has more significantdifference. According to analysis result and actual situation of the Tibetan Students’ citizenconsciousness, the author carried out in-depth analysis on its impact on Tibetan traditionalculture and school education, market economy, as well as unfavorable factors which affectbilingual education in the region. The author proposes to improve ideological and politicaleducation on college sutdents, enhance legal advocacy, improve social environment, play therole of schools in civic education, attach great importance to the role of families in civiceducation, encourage Tibetan students to actively participate in practical activities, Furtherimprove the bilingual teaching model. Strengthen the identity of the citizens of the Tibetanundergraduate,to Improve their level of citizen consciousness. The author also advocatesimproving teaching forms of Tibetan undergraduate, and improve their citizen consciousnessthrough enhancing their citizenship.
