Study on Influence Mechanism of Professional Development Inner Drive of Undergraduate University Teachers in Jiangxi Province

University teachers take the major social responsibility for high-level academic research, knowledge innovation and personnel training, therefore their quality and professional level of direct impact on the quality of the training of personnel in China. How to improve the professional development of university teachers has become a trend of the world teacher education reform and development. Through the literature review, it is found that the key to effectively enhance the professional development of university teachers is to stimulate the drive of theirs, only the formation of a joint force between the inner drive and external drive is the best way to promote the professional development of teachers. Therefore, to explore the Influence mechanism and influencing factors of the professional development inner drive for teachers themselves and university construction has important theoretical significance and practical significance.Firstly, on the basis of systematically analyze the inner drive theory, motivation theory, human capital theory and social capital theory, we define the professional development inner drive of university teachers, forms of incentive, human capital and social capital. Among them, inner drive is constituted by cognitive drive, ego-enhancement drive, affiliated drive and social services drive; Forms of incentive is constituted by the university management, compensation and benefits, opportunities for development and spiritual incentives; Human is constituted by knowledge and ability to work; social capital is constituted by the degree of social participation, trust and network characteristics. On this basis we put forward the hypothesis of this study, four dimensions of forms of incentive have a significant positive impact on each dimension of the inner drive, human capital and social capital; The two dimensions of human capital have a significant positive effect on each dimension of the inner drive and social capital; three dimensions of social capital have a significant positive effect on each dimension of the inner drive. Thus we build the original theoretical model of the universities’ teacher inner drive in Jiangxi Province. Secondly, Combining the theoretical literature and existing scale, through exploratory factor analysis and small sample test, we design the scale of the professional development inner drive university teachers in Jiangxi Province. After conducting a questionnaire survey of500teachers in five undergraduate universities in Jiangxi Province (conclude Nanchang University, Jiangxi Agricultural University, Jiangxi Normal University, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Nanchang Aviation University), we obtain the raw data. It is showed that the building effect of professional development inner drive of university teachers, forms of incentive, human capital and social capital is ok through the reliability and validity analysis, confirmatory factor analysis by the software of SPSS16.0.Thirdly, we use structural equation model to explore the relationship among the forms of incentive taken by the college, human capital, social capital and the professional development inner drive of the university teachers’. We form a best theoretical model after using software AMOS7.0to test the original theoretical set before, modifying the model according to the result and verify the relationship between among forms of incentive, the human capital, social capital and inner drive. It is showed that some of the assumptions are supported. It is found that the forms of incentive, human capital and social capital do have a significant positive effect on the professional development inner drive of university teachers. But the affect path was not one-to-one relationship, they have their own relevance and direction, and the degree of influence is not the same.Then, we use the path coefficients in the second-order model of each latent variable to calculate the scores of the inner drive and social capital score. through correspondence analysis to explore the relationship among the professional development inner drive of university teachers and the subject, working years, educational background, professional title, income and social capital. It is showed that there is a significant correspondence among inner drive and working years, educational background and social capital. And the lower working years, the higher educational background, the higher level of social capital, the level of teachers’ inner drive is much higher.Finally, On the basis of the above empirical analysis, we propose countermeasures to enhance the professional development inner drive of university teachers, mainly conclude designing effective and flexible remuneration package; increasing efforts to train and providing various forms of development opportunities; paying attention to the spirit of trust oriented incentive; incentives should pay attention to vary from person to person; encouraging university teachers to accumulate and use the social capital.
