Sent-down youth to the countryside, arose in the 1950s, involved more than 20 million people, and sustained nearly twenty-seven years, these situations are unparalleled. Those people contain several political problems in that time. In history and reality, sent-down youth to the countryside is become the most sensitive topic. Researching this phenomenon can reflect Chinese young people progressive spirit, and make people understand the growth trail of new China deeply. However, in fact, the employment of the college students, the construction socialistic new countryside, and so on, which are also serious in modern society. Correct to recognize and summarize the event of sent-down youth to the countryside, it is benefit to formulate correct policy for intellectuals, and even effect to solve some new current social problem. This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is deal with the evolution and feature of the phenomenon of sent-down youth to the countryside based on collating information. The issues follow "Cultural Revolution" is the major historical background, according to information of the CPC central committee and the state council, including chairman MAO files, divided the period of sent-down youth to the countryside into three stages, and summarizing the characteristics of each stage.The second part is clarifying the event and discussing the reasons of the rising. The paper insists on the economic reason for the basic reason, and further discusses for two point of the motivation of ideology and developed the rural or stability border.Through summarize and analyze to trace or motive of Sent-down youth to the countryside, troubles and achievements of generalization for this event in the third part. This article persists on thinking the event of Sent-down youth to the countryside has depth experienced, but firmly opposed completely negative campaign, and completely buried the behavior of educated contribution.The fourth part is the focus and difficulty of this article. The article insists on the starting point of learning form history, and it discusses the lessons for reality of sent-down youth to the countryside from five aspects.
